If hiring a maid is the solution for working mother of 3 kids or more, I think government should start giving subsidy to the parent who sent their kids to nursery/day care center. Yes, the government was giving the subsidy to communities nurseries and nurseries at public sector office, however, only for selective group of parent can enjoy this benefit. Subsidy was given for those who have households earning not more than Rm2000 for urban and Rm1200 for rural area while Rm3000 for public sector officer. They were given Rm180 per month for one child. How about other parent who do not eligible for this benefit?? With the current high living cost, I think government should give subsidy to all the parent in Malaysia to enjoy this benefit.
Why government should give subsidy to all parent to enjoy the nursery/day care centre benefit??
- 31% from Malaysia population is age between 0 – 14 years old, that means the demand for nurseries/ day care centre will increase indirectly.
- To reduce the number of hiring a maid. The prices of the employer to pay for taking a maid can reached RM6k with minimum monthly salary of Rm450 without guaranty that the maid is well-trained
- I think is not relevant that the government only give this benefit to certain group of parent. The eligibility of the subsidy should be revised
I really hope that government will think about giving the subsidy to all the parent to enjoy this benefit as nowadays, statistic showed 46.4% of women working and left their kids with maid.

sorry to say, orang melayu selalu mengharapkan subsidy dari kerajaan. mereka tak nak berusaha sendiri untuk menaikkan taraf kehidupan keluarga.. all they can think is mengeluh..cuba tgk orang cina camne..

Thanks hanis for the comment. tapi rasenya dengan duit tax yang kiter byr ke kerajaan, rasenya tak salah kalau kerajaan guna kan duit tu untuk kebajikan rakyat.
