Unimaginable Homework for Amirul [4 years old Kid]

Amirul was given 2 worksheets to finish during the weekend.

However,i think the given worksheets not suitable for Amirul.

For age 4years old:
The average 4-year-old can count up to ten, although he may not get the numbers in the right order every time – Babycentre

Amirul’s Ability : He can count up to 10. But he sometimes do not get the numbers in right order.

Good Side :

  • Me and Amirul working together to finish the homework. Team work
  • Two way communication between me and Amirul. Parent-child bonding time although its also tough time for them to bear if they get scold by parent
  • Teaching Amirul not only teacher’s responsibility but also ours

Bad Side :

  • I think 4 years old kid should emphasize on motor skills such as : drawing, coloring, cutting using scissors

Is this Amirul’s homework or mine?? What is the objective of this homewor??

  • Amirul knew daddy’s name and my name but he still do not recognize the alphabet correctly. So how to spell Daddy Mummy’s name
  • So this is Amirul’s homework or mine???

NOTE : Again, kids nowadays live in very challenging world. Just looked at the worksheet given to the children, that was my standard 1 homework back in 1990.

Amirul has Homework

Baru 4 years old dh ada homework???

Unbelieveable but thats what happen to Amirul. The teachers gave him homework not everyday or everyweekend.but everytime there is public holiday he will be given 2/3 spreadsheet to finished.

I take it on the positive side which is good that Amirul practising what he does at school. Just like below photo, he managed to write word ‘RED’  hasil dari blaja kt school and homework yg teacher kasik. Buku tue our own collection not from school. Bagus la, 4 tahun dh bleh menulis.

But on the negative side, i don’ think 4 years old preschooler should be given homework. They go to school to have fun through learning. However, homework is not fun at all and is stressfull when you don’t want to do it.

Kids nowadays living in very competative world. Parents want to have kids yang pandai Membaca, Menulis dan Mengira before enter the primary school. If possible nak anak2 blaja additional language eg: mandarin or arabic. Not to be kiasu tapi that the fact that we have to face and accept and adapt to it.

Kids Day Out without Daddy

One word to describe the feeling when taking out both Amirul and Widad without Mr Hubby.

FUHHH !!!
fuh means two things.[1] Its amazing. [2] Its tiring

This is my first time having kids day out without Mr Hubby. 3hours at Alamanda Putrajaya is such an amazing and tiring experience to me.

Amazing because i can handle one cheeky toddler and one shy but full of idea in mind toddler. 1st, i brought them to Toys r us. ok la. both of them behave despite of Amirul keep repeating “Mummy Abang nk Transformer”. and mummy lak keep repeating.. “ooo kna wait daddy Abang. Mummy xde duit”. ok.mummy xde duit.nt abang mntk duit ngn Daddy. selama dlm Toys r us, Amirul dok ckp cmtue. huhu

Then i brought them to playgroud area near to Parkson. ok la dorang main.

Then lunch at Pizza. This one very choatic. Abang Adik both lapar and started to cranky. Ayohhhh.pengsan. Both keep asking for soup, adik nk milk, abang adik main sudu garfu.ketuk2. Mummy started to be an anoyying customer. kejap mntk sup.kejap mntk sudu plastic…huhuhu.

 Hungry kids

In the middle of eating, Amirul lak nk yakyak.pingsan skali lagi..Adussss.Settle yakyak. continue eating then i decided to directly go back home. tak mau singgah mner2 dh. Penat dh..adoiii nak balik, dorang started to be cranky again. Maybe both dh sleepy sbb pnt main n kekenyang. Berebut naik stroller la. Pastu both xmo dok stroller la. nak main kejar2 la..

Moh le pulang wahai anak. Mummy sudah pingsan. How i which to have octopus hands. So that i can hold both of Amirul Widad’s hand n push the stroller and held the plastic bag.aishhhh

Reached home:

Amirul slept but Widad still

awake. But half and hour later

both sleep soundly

Fuhhhh. What an amazing and tiring day for Mummy..

Widad Milestones : 22 Months Old

Presenting our tikus mondok aka Widad Safiyyah. Sorry adik, Mummy knows is cruel to call you such name but you are just like tikus mondok, very lincah and naughty and always make Mummy and Daddy exhausted. :D Either Mummy Daddy getting older or Adik have such powerful batteries which every minutes is charging. Fuhhhhhh

At age of 22 months old, According to BabyCentre, Widad :

  • Still a drama Queen yg berjaya

  • Combine a couple of words to ask questions or make statements: Nak susu, nak bikuk, nak mandi, Ipad kt atas, nak mouse, sakit, eyol (Amirul), didit ubit (daddy cubit), Ya Allah, Amin,
  •  Understand many more words than she can say. Understand instructions, understand my conversations with Amirul, 
  • Able to name five or more of body part : Widad can name eyes, nose, ear,mouth, teeth, leg, hand, kuku, 
  • Very good in imitation. Have to careful with our daily conversation. Widad mudah ikut apa yg org cakap
  • Have learned to undress - Pantang cakap jom mandi, sure trus nak bukak baju. tak menyempat.kadang dah ada kt toilet
  • Have lots of fights over sharing - She fights with Amirul. Anything that AMirul has, she wants to have it. She plays nicely and fights fiercely with friend and cousin. The best thing she fights with Amirul to sit on Mummy’s lap
  • Loves to play pretend

Flush toys dimana2, ada time Widad kasik milk, dodoikan kasik sleep, wrap ngn blanket. and dier penah selak baju nk kasik tetek..

She is tough and loves to explore

Hospital Trip : Amirul and Hospital Visits

DEC 2011 @ Pusat Perubatan Pakar Annur, Bangi

Amirul admitted Pusat Perubatan Pakar Annur due to brancial cyst

  • Its all started when we saw clear discharge coming out from Amirul’s neck.  Me and Mr Hubby assumed its similar to Widad which is just clear discharge come out from the tiny  holes and wont harm him. Previously, the surgeon that checked Widad inform that if there is no infection, no pain there will be no problem.
  • Unfortunately, the tiny holes becomes infected like above photo. Amirul has high fever, flu and pain. Doctor advise to have minor operation. There he goes to operation theater accompany by me

 

Muka sedih, berlakon lebih ni sbb Amirul manja with me. uhuhuh

  • 30 minutes operation procedure, the doctor advise us to have further check up after 1 month of surgery. The doctor afraid, there not only small holes that discharge liquid, that tract may connected to ear/ up to brain. waaaa Mummy Daddy sudah cuak. Complicated nyer wahai anak.
  • After 1 month, the doctor requested us to have further operation that maybe take up to 3 hours. The doctor explained to us in details and his face expression is so serious. But only one sentence that come out from Mr Hubby ” Doctor benda ni bleh bawak mati ker?” Haahahha. Laugh or not to laugh. Mr Hubby tak kisah nk operation ke apa ker, he just think for the worst case,  the ultimate of Amirul’s condition. Doctor : “ Ooo this problem takkan bawa mati, just only if you tak buat this operation, dia akan berulang nanah la“
  • Alhamdulillah, syukur kepada Allah. Nothing to worry. Second question from Mr Hubby: ” Since this is congenital case, the insurance and company do not cover this, how much is the operation cost :. ” Its quite expensive if you do the operation here (Annur). Approximately more than RM10K. I may recommend you to HUKM” Nasib aku tak wat lawak, alamak doctor, nak kena jual kidney la camni baru bleh wat operation.. huhuh”
FEB 2012 @ HUKM, Cheras
Here we go again Amirul, another minor surgery, as been told by doctor, Its ok, jgn takut k, Mummy beside you
  • Amirul need to fasting 10 hours at least prior the surgical day. 10 hours for kid who do not understand what is fasting is complicated to explain and understand
  • We reached HUKM, around 830am, and we enter the OT around 1030am. Woowww, can you imagine how long Amirul been fasting and how difficult to me, to explain to him that he can’t drink and eat. ayohh, ini Mummy sudah penin
  • We are now in OT, the anesthetist ready to shoot, everything is ready, Amirul is shivering, Mummy is nervous , the the surgeon put her plastic gloves and came to Amirul. She checked the tiny hole. She checked again, she touched, then frowned, then suddenly she told me this ” Saya tak confident la nk wat operation ni, sbb i can feel the tract here, but im not sure the tract ni sampai mane” I think he should do ultra sound 1st. Yes i need to check his ultra sound report than i will decide how its goes.
  • Pengsan. apa ni, surgeon pun tak confident nk wat operation, mummy lg la pengsan.
  • So we go back home. No operation, Amirul is hungry, Mummy Daddy is confusing.

  • The ultra sound result showed, the holes is getting smaller and maybe closing. The doctor will finalized her decision after 3 months
MAR 2012 @ Rakan Medik MEDIVERON
  • Jatuh dekat  school. Langgar tiang, bounced ke longkang. The real situation only teachers yang tahu. Injured at forehead, doctor gam, no stitches
  • Me and Mr Hubby dont make big fuss to the teacher. To us as long as tak der patah riuk, ok. anak mummy daddy tough. oh anak, adakah ini 1st lesson to Mummy Daddy yang Amirul bakal naughty kat school nanti. dushhhh

Amirul Milestones : 4 Years Old

Amirul already 4 years old last Feb. A brother who Widad can depend on and most of the times, they are good fighting friend. Alhamdulillah, Amirul speech development getting better, I understands what he says and same goes to the stranger. Although, there are still misunderstanding what he is saying and our understanding, each day Amirul never let us down. He comes back from school and starts counting 123, singing ABC song, recite doa.

According to Babycentre, at age of 4, Amirul should :

  • Master potty training – Yes, he is now diaper free during day time either awake or asleep at school. Now need to find time to teach him diaper free at night. Read Amirul diaper-free Journey here
  • Overcome separation anxiety - I can say 50/50. He still need me/ Mr Hubby around him whenever he is in with new environment.  But he can make new friend within 15minutes starts with smiling, exchanging toys and there he goes, run happily with new friends
  •  Increased skill at doing things for himself, such as dressing, washing, and brushing his own teeth – He bathe, brushing teeth, dressing up, go the toilet, choose clothes and sleep himself
  • Uses sentences of six or more words - He talks, he sings, we happy. I don’t expect him to talk like an adult with correct pronunciation and grammar. He started his speech therapy last year and within that time, he shows positive improvement which me and Mr Hubby really satisfied. Why do we should ask for more when Amirul talking and singing happily infront of us. 
  • Shy, introvert, soft spoken –  Whenever you hear Amirul talks, rase cam xnak marah jer, very soft spoken , everything he will ask for permission; Mummy nak watch TV bleh, Mummy nak main Ipad beh, Mummy, abang nak pakai baju Ben 
  • Mealtime – This is the most hatred time for Amirul and me. He do not enjoy foods as much as Widad does. He is picky eater. He want Mummy to feed him. Menyuap baru nk makan banyak, kalu tak 5 suap nasik dah xmo
  • Sleep time - He sleeps around 10pm after 15minutes of youtube, 15minutes of Ipad, 15minutes of  revision, 5 minutes of bedtime story. :D . 
Amirul has lot of hospital visit started from Dec 2011 – until now
