Renovation Tips for New House

We are in the ‘moving to new house’ mode. Insya Allah, we will move in to the house early of May or end of April. Busy preparing this and that, busy looking for best quotations with the best quality, headache when money gone like water, busy thinking which one should done first and done later, bla..bla..blaaa. and not forgetting my EDD is just 1month away. Everything need to settle within this month. Fuhhhh..

A little bit about my new house; it’s not a new house actually, its a 2nd hand house. Its a intermediate double-storey house somewhere in Bangi. I heart Bangi for its serenity, facilities, quiet residential area, the people etc. Buying a 2nd hand house also cost you to spend much money even tho not as much as moving in to totally new house. Here i would like to share some house renovation tips for new house.

Please bear in mind that my house is 2nd hand house, not new house. So that, the renovations is not as much as new house.

Inspecting the house checklist

  • When you buy a house,check the house completely, from roofing to flooring and inside out.
    1. Is there any furniture available for you left by house’s owner.
    2. Is there any big renovation need to be done (kitchen extension, roofing & plumbing problem, wiring or electrical work, tiling,)
    3. Is there a need of re-painting work to be done.
    4. Is there major home decoration needed
    5. Security of the house; grill, door knob
  • Referring to point above, my case are  :
    1. My house already has 3units of air-cond, shower heater, kitchen cabinet.
    2. Kitchen extension – No, roofing problem – No, plumbing problem – Minor, Wiring / electrical work- additional plug and fan, Tiling – minor,
    3. Re-painting work – Yes
    4. Home Decoration – Curtain railing need to be installed,
    5. Grill – sliding door and kitchen grill need to change to new ones. Reput sudah
    6. We change all door knob to new ones

  • After overall scan the house, you must had an idea what to do to your new house. However, before you start ;
    1. What is your budget .
    2. Listing what is your idea & plan about renovating your new house
    3. Find the contractor
    4. Home decorations.
  • Referring  to point above, my case are :
    1. We had a tight budget, so we need to prioritize what the most needed and important part to renovate 1st.
    2. Our list goes like this [1] Re-painting. [2] Tiling [3] Wiring for additional plug & fan [4] Grilling & Change the door knob         [5] Plumbing [6] Curtain installation
    3. We use Indonesia workers as our contractor. He did toilet renovation for us last time and we are very satisfied with his workmanship. With the good service and reasonable price he offered us, we hired him again to do refurbishing work at our new house. However, he only supply service, and we need to buy ourself all the materials like paint, pipe, white cement for wall touch up, etc. He listed down what he wanted us to buy. Its ok with us, as i love to do all the survey and compare the price.. huhu
    4. At this moment, we don’t think house decoration is a MUST besides re-painting the house. The only thing that we considered that this time are painting and curtain. Furniture like sofa, dining table will be used what we had now, wall deco (frame, photo etc) will be done later on.

Tipah budak kampung, tapi bekerja di Kuala Lumpur .

Biasalah bila sudah duduk ‘town’, mula lupa asal usul. Pakaian seksi maut, bercinta pula dgn lelaki mat saleh. Ke hulu ke hilir menayang boyfriendnya yg bermata biru.

Believe it or not

Tajuk cam aper nth.. huhuh Actually me nk story about yesterday night. Ni bkn cerita hantu tapi ala2 seeker la..scary skit.. huhu

Smlm maser Amirul tgh tido dier, suddenly dier mengigau. Mengigau ala2 nangis2 gitu.. Time tue me tgh tgk tv & Mr Hubby lak tgh main internet. Since me penat masak, Mr Hubby pn pegi la tgk Amirul. Me pn dapat la tgk tv ngn amannya. Then tibe2 dier mengigau lg ala2 nangis lg and lain mcm je me rase.. Rase cam ala2 goosebumps la skit. Me pn take turn la tgk si Amirul what happened to him. After tepuk2, dier sleep balik and after that mengigau lg. So me pn decide tuk teman Amirul sleep sambil main Ipod(lagipun cter korea dh abs.. huhuh). At the same time, me dah tak tau bper kali baca ayat Kursi

After Amirul few times series of mengigau and nangis2, me pn suh Mr Hubby amik air yasin yg abah mertuaku buat.. Amik air tue lap2 muka, badan, kaki Amirul then renjis2 skit kt dier sambil2 baca ayat Kursi lg.then dapat la dier tido lena. Me pn ltk la air yasin td dlm botol tuk Amirul drink..Alhamdulillah tenang Amirul pas2.

Then tbe2 kul 4am dier terjaga.. adohai Amirul ni naper lak terjaga pagi2 buta ni. Mummy nk sleep la.. Daddy lak tido ngn amannya.. Amirul siap bgn bukak mata luas2, i thought dah kul 6am sbb normally dlm kul 6am cam2 Amirul akan bgn, rupanya baru kul 4am.. Dier lak nangis2 skit, so me asked Mr Hubby tuk buat milk kt Amirul sambil me tenangkan Amirul. After dapat drink milk, Amirul main2 sambil tunjuk2 kt atas ceiling.. adohai naper lak si Amirul ni. Then Me pn ckp sleep Amirul come mummy hug you. Me pulak pura2 tido sbb nk suh Amirul sleep tp mmg tak leh sleep pn sbb rsau nper la Amirul ni.

Then alarm clock bunyi, dah kul 6:18am, me bgn and Amirul bgn trus gelak cam biasa.. Alhamdulillah.. Amirul ok.. Then this morning, i called Mr Hubby ckp yg me rase ader ‘hantu’ ikut Amirul. Mr Hubby marah aku okey.. deir ckp ishhh.. aper la Huda ni.. then me told him yg Amirul tunjuk2 ceiling. tau Mr Hubby ckp aper, “ala kt ceiling tue kan ader tikus. Amirul ckp ader tikus la tue, Amirul kan takut tikus..” ishh aper la en suami ni.. one thing i luper nk ckp kt Mr Hubby yg lengan aku ader kesan lebam. nth camner bleh lebam pn tak tau.. tak sakit pn kt area lebam tue.

Note : Me ni penakut skit.. that y jarang dok umh sorang2. and Mr Hubby pn tau yg me ni penakut, that y dier tak kasik i dok sdn kt umah.. huhuh

Then Mr Hubby pesan jgn takut la Huda.. hantu ni ader kt mner2.. kiter kna percaya tp jgn takut sgt.. kalu Allah kasik kiter nmpk hantu, kat sebelah kiter pna der hantu.. yea la ustaz Mujahid.. saya tak takut & pikir bukan2 dh pasni..

Its actually a surprised birthday present given by Mr Hubby. Unlucky i did not notice the dot.com wordings. Sorry yayang i’m not too particular and my eyes sometimes not too sharp to see the tiny change.

Its 330am in the morning, and Mr Hubby still not sleeping. I just wondering what was he’s doing at 330am in the morning.. I saw he is updating my blog layout design and i said ok.. i want to continue my sleep and here goes my conversation between me and Mr Hubby :

Me : Yayang, Huda nk sleep la. Night

Mr Hubby : Huda cuba tgk blog Huda,, ader nmpk lain tak

Me : lain??? aper yg lain nya..samer jer (while scroll up & down) xder yg lain la..samer jer la yayang

Mr Hubby : Huda xnmpk ker kelainan. Btl ker huda xnmpk.. Ala.. ( muka dh sedih.. suara dh ala2 merajuk)

Me : Btl la..samer jer… k la..nmpk la syg dh tukar layout photo, tmbh gmbr raya, add huda nya profile, pas2 tukar badge ebay photo.. lain2 samer jer.. (rase bersalah sbb mmg xnmpk any different)

Mr Hubby : ni haaa.. www.kambingbujang.com yayang banja huda for this year nya birthday present. Actually yayang nk buat esk..tp xper la.. RM35/yr.. Yayang siap design logo ‘K’ lagi tuk blog huda.. sampai hati Huda xprasan..

How to be the best Dad in the Galaxy!

My friend from a galaxy far, far away, paid a visit to our house and I welcomed him with warm greeting. Not to forget he brought along his twin.

He is the ruler of the galaxy with the emperor, leader of a thousand clones, and fighting the Jedi. All the powers in the world was at his hand and he could kill anyone with his bare hand. He’s working 16 hours a day, 104 hours per week. His obsession with career made him what we called, workaholics.

“That was the past” he said.

Luke and Leia. The twin means everything to him. He strict with working hour 8-5pm only (No overtime or stay up late, Dark Sidious!) and go home for both of them. Pursuing career is not his main attention right now. He exercise his calm and try not raise his anger so often, he has the twin to take care of.

We switched opinion about parenting the kids, have a little chit chat, played board games. But my wife and I still feel discomfort with hee-hoo hee-hoo breathing even though we befriended with him for 5 years now.

Before he jumped out of space to a galaxy far, far away and do the killing-all-the-jedi thing, which he is good at, he left a video for us of how he manage to handle his twin – Luke and Leia.

This video is dedicated to all daddies out there.. But not limited to daddy bcoz mummy also can enjoy this video. Enjoy yea!!!!
