Paya Indah Wetland, Dengkil Selangor

Paya Indah Wetlands is a  ecotourism in Malaysia located in the district of Kuala Langat, Selangor. The plans to visit this place was suggested by MIL after Amirul keep talking and asking her to draw peacock from Kung Fu 2. Rather than showing Amirul  peacock in the ipad, she prefer her grandchild to experience the real peacock. Close to nature and feel the real animal is more attractive and effective way children to learn things as MIL claims.

So there we go, Paya Indah Wetland. Paya Indah Wetland is 3100  hectares and offers many attractions with lots of outdoor activities such as canoeing, fishing, paddle-boat,   etc and the most important thing, they have peacock.  You either can walk thoroughly, cycling or driving to each of attraction areas. We choose to drive.

Welcome to Paya Indah Wetland. The entrance fee is free.

1st pit stop : Peacock

The peacocks walk freely at the administration area. Whenever he see the visitors walking towards him, he will proudly spread his tail. Very proud of own beauty.

2nd pit stop : Crocodile Lake

Almost 38 buaya tembaga was happily live in this lake. They were having chicken feast every weekend and public holiday. Therefore, if you would like to watch crocodile feeding, please come at 11am.

Excited and I’m scared face.. Drama Queen is here!!

Watched crocodile feeding!!!!

3rd pit stop – Hipo lake

No photo as the hippos is wading in the swampy pond after his feeding time at 10 am. But its ok. Above  photo considered we saw the hippos. nyehnyehnye. Please come to Hippo lake at 10am if you want to feel the experience of  feeding the hippo with fresh fruits.

We may pay another visit to this place and properly plan the time so that we won;t missed  feeding time. Worry not because although it is weekday, the crowd is not big and you only need to bring along your umbrella if the weather is scorching hot.

Roar.. Roar.. Roar the Dinosaur at Pusat Sains Negara

Last time, when we visited PetroScience at KLCC, Amirul was so scared and  screamed loudly at the Dinosour. He loves Dino, he has few collection of dinosaurs and was excited at first, but after he heard the roaring sound he jump to his daddy and cried.

Before visited Pusat sains Negara, we told Amirul that we gonna see Dino again this time. He again jump into excitement because he had once hug Dino at Smart Kids event and Dino do not eat him. Dino is a tame animal. That what’s he thought at least

2 Dinos greet us at the entrance

RM35 for Aquaria,KLCC Is Not Worth.. at Least for Me

I always want to bring Amirul & Widad to Aquaria when Amirul starts to love watching Baby Eistein DVD. Until last weekend, we brought them to Aquaria, KLCC. Indeed we only pay RM20 for adult and RM10 for Amirul, still I don’t think that it’s worth for money.

Why it’s not worth, at least for me:

The crowd is huge. School holiday maybe, but I think the space itself is relatively small to cater the visitors

No privacy. I mean I can’t seat behind the glass for more than 3minutes. I need to give chance to others as well. Look at this photo, I was behind them at least 5minutes. erhmmm

  • I can finished explore every inch of the Aquaria within 1 1/2 hours or lesser
  • Variety of marine life, I can see the real shark and stingray, huge makeral, sea turtle and it’s really new experience for Amirul. However, I still feel not worth due to above two reasons. huhu

Maybe I should try Under Water World, Langkawi

NOTE : However, Amirul so excited and keep pointing big fish..big fish.. huhuh

5 Places of Interest That I Want To Go With My Family

Having two kids do not forbid us to have a family vacation. Amirul was 10 month old and 18 months when we brought him to Melaka and Bandung. To have a family vacation with two small children quite a tough job to me and Mr Hubby. Big luggage, basket for Amirul’s milk needs, diaper bag, stroller etc. Next year we are planning to have another family trip.

I want to have a family trip only me and Mr Hubby enjoy the trip, but we want to leave a good memory to Amirul and Widad as well. I love adventure place and love sightseeing. I had listed down few places of interest and hopefully, Mr Hubby agreed with it

Photo by : Theme Park Insider

Location : Universal Studio, Singapore
Why : . I want to visit a place for us to enjoy to the fullest. Besides Singapore popular shopping areas like Orchard Road, Bugis Road,  Merlion, Singapore Zoo and Sentosa Island are interest places to visit. However, the hot new attraction at Singapore now is Universal Studios. A friend of mine had gave good review and two thumb up.

Universal Studios Singapore have few attractions like The Lost world from Jurasic Park, Far Far Away from Shrek, explore the New York city,to experience the future city at Sci-fi City, feel the Hollywood ambience, walk into the jungle of  Madagascar, and travel to Pharoahs era at Ancient Egypt. Bestnya.. Jom Yayang. Visit here to feel the excitement.

Location : Disneyland , Hong Kong
Why : I love theme park. I love adventure. I remember riding Space Shot at Genting theme Park twice. The feeling is scary yet excited,. Syokkkkkkkkk . At disneyland Hong Kong, we can immerse
storybook character like Goofy, Mickey, Minie etc by exploring the fairytale adventures in this Fantasyland. Amirul must be so excited when he can find Buzz Lightyear at Tomorrowland, for a person who afraid of horror or scary movie, Adventureland is not recommended and we can enjoy the floats, musicians, dancers and beloved Disney Characters that star in a magical procession bringing the streets of Main Street, U.S.A. to life. I already feel in the dreamland now.. huhuh :P

Phot by : RAFIL 2009

Location : Jogjakarta
Why : Jogjakarta have many places to visit. Historical places like Candi Borubudur, Prambanan, and Kotabaru. Beautiful sandy beaches like Siung Beach, Sadeng Beach and Sepanjang Beach.  Besides, sight seeing the beautiful places, shopping the souvenir for friends and relatives is a must. Malioboro the most famous market place to buy leather puppet (wayang kulit/wayang golek), wooden handicraft (miniature guitar and drum) and batik items. Mr Hubby would  like this place so much. He can buy items for his ebay shop. Here is more info on Jogjakarta

Photo by : Sabah Travel Guide

Location : Sandakan, Sabah
Why : I want Amirul and Widad near to the nature. I want them to love our flora and fauna. Sandakan is the right place to go. Sandakan have Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary where we can watch the orang utan up close in their natural habitat, to observe the collection of eggs, tagging of mother turtles and releasing of baby turtles into the sea at the Turtle Islands Park, watching crocodile and snake shows at Sandakan Crocodile farm  not forgetting variety of fresh seafood to buy. Do check here for more interest places at Sandakan.

Photo by : Travel Malaysia Guide

Location : Langkawi
Why : We had our honeymoon at Langkawi. A nice place to visit. Sandy beaches like Pulau Pasir Basah, Pantai Chenang, the legendary lake; Tasik Dayang Bunting is most well known for her legend of any childless women who bathed in the lake would conceive thereafter, Makam Mahsuri where the history of Mahsuri bled white blood at her execution as a sign of her innocence, ride the cable car at Mount Mat Cincang. Memorizing the sweet moment during honeymoon.

For those who like to shop, Langkawi is a duty free place that you can enjoy to buy local and imported goods like cigarette, liquor, cosmetics, watches, fashion ware, jewellery, confectionery, batik, imported kitchenware and household appliances

Before and After

Currently both me and Mr Hubby in house-deco mode and since last 2 weeks, we did some new arrangement for our house interior design and our small house looked bigger and spacious.

Its all started when both of us decided to buy single bed for Amirul. In order to have space for Amirul’s bed, we need to moved our wardrobe to 2nd room. Then, me and Mr Hubby decided to have some ‘touch up’ to our house.

We moved our fridge into 3rd room and and dining table took fridge place. Mr Hubby bought table for his work station and replace 14″ TV to 32″ TV, Amirul’s single bed beside our bed and for our storage. We decorated our wall with our family photo and now we are looking for wall mirror to make-over our empty wall.

Our house ‘s interior arrangement and deco

My house interior arrangement

Fridge in 3rd room

Bedroom arrangement

Storage arrangement. Before – Things on the floor, After – Things on stack

Tudung arrangement

This is our dining table’s chair. Tak der la sakit bontot..

Lastly, presenting my new cookware.. tak berkait pn..xper la nk tunjuk gak..This Tefal cookware, i bought from Tefal warehouse sale. So cheap and very worth for very cent. :D

Paint My Love: It’s A Pregnancy Belly Thing

Belly Art - View this group's most interesting photos on Flickriver
I’ve stumbled upon this fascinating group while I was searching for photo material for my blog. This group is popular among mummies who loves nothing but art, as well as their unborn child.

When I read about belly art, it is about expressing the true feeling upon their baby in womb. Most of them are full-time mothers; well I think I don’t have time for painting plus I can’t manage to draw a single perfect ‘lidi man’ in my live. Nonetheless, this group give me a spark of ideas towards my future mummy contest.

Anyway, I wish to express a sincere compliment to mothers who find their ways to show the upward value of love to their belly, or baby. It feels great to be a mother.

Makan Fiesta @ Kelantan

Last weekend me, Mr Hubby and Amirul went back to Kelantan. This Aidilfitri will be celebrated at Mr Hubby’s side at Bangi. As usual i will spend my Aidilfitri with my family in advance; meaning in month of Syawal. We went back for 4D 3N. Its a short weekend yet very memorable and the important time is the quality time we spend together.Ma purposely took leave during my short weekend and became chef of the day.. I love u Ma

Day 1 she cooked ikan masak asam. I did not know what fish is that, but got a lot of bones. Since im not a fish’s fan, so i just ate ayam goreng rempah. Nice and crunchy and i can fell the taste of marinated herb. I wonder, how she prepared those marinated chicken bcoz everytime i made ones, its wont become like that.. huhhhh. Forgot to take the photo.

Day 2 sup tulang. The best sup tulang in town (according to me & Mr Hubby taste buds; this is the best sup tulang we found and a must menu everytime we go back to Kelantan). Again its a simple menu. Ma just put herbs, boil approximately for 4hours / until the meat become tender, add salt.. Tadaaaa finish.. Again no photo taken.

Day 3 nasi kerabu – this is my all time fave. Its took almost the whole day to prepared this meal. From tumis, sambal kelapa, and kerabu. The cutting part is the most annoying one. We need to cut all those ulam (at least 4 types of ulam) and must cut into small pieces. Ma always scolded me for this cutting thingy.

Nasi Kerabu – I only help ma prepared sambal kelapa and fried fish + ayam rempah

Additional food i requested Ma to cook

Ayam Kampung Gulai, Ayam Kampung Goreng Rempah, (this 2 photos nanti akan di upload later).

Note : A quote from a friend of mine to me “Huda boleh keluarkan kelantan dlm diri dier, tp kelantan tak bleh kuar dari huda”. Nice quote

Travelling with toddler (Amirul)

June is coming, me and family are going to Bandung. I had made reservation a year ago and quite excited as many people give a 5star feedback on this place. The foods, shopping spree, people, and the place itself really give me excitement. However few items and things that i should take into consideration because traveling with Amirul sometimes really challenging me and hubby.

Things that i need to consider :

Health and safety should be my priority;
No experience and not familiar with the country, no guidance (we loves to travel by our own, no schedule trip – main redah jer), no idea how the country look like (a lots people talking about Bandung but still blur) anything could happen. If anything happen to Amirul, aku boleh jd giler or die and due to current situation, everywhere is not safe, need to put extra careful. Better be careful then regret later and i cannot afford to lose Amirul. Alamak sensitive lak..

Before departure to one country which u are unfamiliar with, please also consider about your children health. Yes of course, since currently there is unfamiliar diseases widely spread like swine flu case. Doctor injected Amirul with influenza vaccination. Hopefully Amirul wont get sick, kl tak xbest la jejalan.

Safety first everybody..

Travel gear;
What i need is stroller/buggy. Buggy is the right choice because it lightweight, hand carry and easy to fold and i had bought new buggy from Mudah. This 2nd buggy is in good condition and i really satisfied with the item. To me, buggy is the must item. yela maner tau Amirul ngantuk, penat jln2, at least he can rest inside the buggy. Tak kan me and hubby and dukung dier memanjang, berat dier 12kg tau..

Baby Stuffs;
Baby stuff if not well planning and prepared, sure we will bring along unnecessary. Thing like diapers, wipes, milk & foods (snack), milk bottle & dispenser, toys to entertain him when he get bored, flask, water, clothes, medicine. etc (which i cannot think at this moment). When come to packing time, sure unnecessary things will go into the bag.. :P

Beside above mention points to consider, you can find few other tips here, here, here and here. The websites may give some ideas and info’s regarding traveling with toddlers. Above is my point of view which i think should be everybody priority before departure, either abroad or domestic.
